Excellent, low cost, TPS System July 14, 2010 D. Jones (Texas) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I installed this in my wife's car about 5 months ago. Installation was relatively easy, just had to find a 12V power source to power the display. Discount tire installed the sensors for, I think, about $20 a tire with tax and everything else.
So far, the system has worked well. The display is large and easy to read. I like that it shows all 4 pressures simultaneously.
I don't like that once a tire drops below the set alarm pressure there is no way to acknowledge or silence the alarm, at least that I could find. That means that it beeps at you all the way to the gas station.
I've solved that by setting the alarm pressure quite low and high.
Great product July 6, 2010 io1970 Over all this product works very well. This product is installed on a Porsche cayenne turbo without TPMS. This product is the closest to a factory Porsche Tpms. It displays all 4 tires at the same time. it displays temp alternately as well. if your in the city around numerous commercial bluetooth devices it can throw errors, but on the highway where it counts it is always accurate with no interference. Excellent tool for the money. I would definitely buy again. I would like to see a dimmer for the lights as the display can be rather bright at night.
orange tpms June 22, 2010 al (usa) Product works well. Easy to use. Only thing wrong with it, is one of the sensor is off a little bit in the temperature calibration. Not a big deal.
BEST TPMS for the price !!!! May 11, 2010 V. Visuthikosol (bimmer, HSV) very easy to install. and LED is so bright. never has an issue reading during the day... I love it...
First one broke, the second one never quite worked right April 27, 2010 C. Dunavan 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I installed this in my 350Z and it always took 2 to three minutes for all of the sensors to link up. Then some of the segments went black and so it was hard to tell what pressure it was trying to show me. I got a replacement head and linked it up to the sensors. This head took even longer to link up than the original, some times I could get all the way to work and one or two of the tires would still not be registering.
More bad news, although it uses a USB connector for power, it is not 5v USB power (like a lot of phone chargers you might have laying around). Also, the color of the LEDs will likely not match any car sold in the world (maybe some night stand alarm clocks). To add insult to injury, the display does not dim with the car lighting (like good aftermarket audio equipment) so at night it will glare at you (although probably with an error message on at least one tire).
When I wrote the well known internet tire vendor I bought this from, they gave me a full refund and no longer sell this unit.
